Yep it was back problems, she was stuck in bed for a few days, from what i have read it wasn't pretty too. But she is doing better seams like she already as of yesterday working slightly on the content from home, i also know that she has already put a lot of work into the content and as for them making up lost time, its possible, but who knows?

Just thought I'd post this here to show others how much longer the War in Kryta event will continue before it resolves.
Quote:
Jesse Cox: I know that we’re a few days late, but apparently, the Guild Wars anniversary just passed and I saw that there were all sorts of fun stuff to do in the game and everyone was having a good time. Did you guys get everything you wanted? I guess this is for Linsey; did you get everything you wanted into the game for those players who have been in the game for five years?
Linsey Murdock: No, actually, because we’re not done yet. We’ve been running builds over the past month or so leading up to the anniversary and we’ve got probably another month to go before you’ll see everything that we’ve got to celebrate the fifth anniversary. - from Ten Ton Hammer May 1st
|
While she doesn't specifically say that it will be the War in Kryta that will resolve in a months time, it's implied/inferred that anniversary and War in Kryta are the same thing in the interview.

so that article is from May 1st?? then they werent planning on doing anything else for the anniversary anyways if they still have another MONTH of work to do on it---doubt even she could have gotten it all done in a few days without having been out ill.
and yeah it sounds like it might be closer to the dragon festival time instead....something to look forward to then.

I think she meant that the updates will come in small packages over the next 4 weeks or so. So we might be fighting the WiK this weekend and the final fall out, such as Gwen and Thackery founding Ebonhawke, of the WiK might not be until the end of May, but a lot of the combat and content will come before then.

Does anyone know what you need to do to trigger the Bauer - farmer Dirk encounter? All I get in the North Kryta Province, again and again, is the encounter with 5 peacekeepers asking for my travel permit. I wish they stayed dead.

It's a random encounter, so you just have to keep re-zoning. The easiest way is to go through the portal to Nebo and keep zoning through that portal until the encounter happens. That way you don't have to encounter the roadblock. Just keep running back and forth between Farmer Dirk and the Nebo portal. Hold down your ALT key so you can see if there are any settlement guards around Dirk long before you get to him. If there are, you can turn around and go back to the portal without running all the way to Dirk, saving a little time. When the encounter happens, there won't be any guards in the vicinity.

That's what I'd been told before, but after about 30 minutes of continuously zoning back and forth I gave up. Never anyone bothering Dirk and always 5 peacekeepers blocking the road to LA.

I haven't seen any "Peacekeepers" yet but this morning a Shining Blade joined me outside of Bergen Hot Springs and when I zoned back to Kryta from that area another one joined me. The first one didn't come with
I was looking for the cutscene someone had mentioned but still can't find it. The one North of Bergen Hot Springs.
The other thing I'm wondering is the Shining Blade Camp in Talmark Wilderness I"m sure I followed the map right, or not lol. But is it always there?
This updated thread is very nice to have Thank you!

With the Ebon Vanguard seemingly joining in the fun it looks like they're really concentrating the humans into Kryta and the rest of the races into their own little areas. I wonder if the Eye of the North will eventually be abandoned and forgotten by the time GW2 rolls around and it could be something that the characters rediscover as part of their mission.

Yes. Once a character has finished Prophecies or EotN, the Blade camp is always present for that character.

I gets lost after Jormag drives the Norn (and I would say what humans remain that far north) down to the Northern Shiverpeaks.
The whole 'Vanguard coming down' (of which only a handful did, the majority are still up north) I think is just a prelude to what ends up happening in Ascalon

Ok thank you I'm at Ring of Fire on the char I took out there and up to killing Cyndr in EoTN. I'll try on a different one that's finished and get busy on finishing up on the other one.
That also explains why I see Shining Blade on my char that finished Prophecies then I guess and not on others

That's why. Salma hidden in the temple made no sense now. But, as it's random, eventually it took so much to have it displaying. I didn't see it posted before anyway...

Edit: Durr just realized zinn would probably need to be exiled first in order for him to help the blade >_<
